When I get home today I'll look at my ARA BCB that I put 6V tubes into back
in 1959 or 1960. I think I put a 6F6 in there in place of the 12A6. Pin
out and filament current are the things. I also did that 28V dynamotor
conversion where you move one LV brush 90 degrees. The radio worked OK for
many hours on a 12V supply until the big PS cap failed and blew tar onto
the ceiling of my bedroom. But then I bought the first of several
transistor radios and the ARA went into a box for many years. I also still
have that first transistor - an Emerson 888.
