I think modern cement is somewhat different, not just (Calcium Oxide)
lime. Modern 'hydraulic cement' which expands some as it sets uses the
Calcium Oxide plus other things.
Calcium Oxide, is also called Lime. To make mortar used for bricks, the
Lime is 'slaked' by adding water, then sand and other stuff.
