Robert, I can still read the auction photos.  The dynamotor is made by Continental
Electric Company.  It is marked: 

AIRCRAFT DYNAMOTOR
TYPE: DM  FRAME: 310    (Hence the seller's DM-310!!)
DC INPUT VOLTS 28  AMPS 1.2   DC OUTPUT VOLTS 250  M.AMPS. 85

It is not a DM-32 or DY-2 machine, but I don't recall seeing anything just like it,
except maybe in a Bendix RA-10 or MN-26.
