[ARC5] Soviet 1RSB-70 copy of the AN/ARC-8, Plus Other TU-4 Radio Sets

    In the Aircraft Radio Corp. files I got from Boonton as the plant 
was closing in the early 1980s was a letter from the Imperial Japanese 
Navy in 1938? not sure of the date, asking A.R.C. to bid on some radio 
gear for the Japanese. At this remote time -30+ years - I cannot recall 
details, but A.R.C. politely declined.

     Certainly during WW II the Soviets were allies and, by top 
Washington standards, our friends, soaside from the Manhattan Project, 
we gave them most of the help they asked for.
