Some Detrolas were marked BC-1206-B and said Signal Corps right on the label; I know that because I have one like that.  Most Detrolas did not say anything but Detrola Model 438 and that was on the bottom, not the front - 3 of the 4 Detrolas I have are marked like that.

The Setchell Carlson Model 524 was called the BC-1206-C; the one I have has that rather crudely stamped on the front in orange ink.  I have seen Setchell Carlsons marked BC-1206-CM but I do not know what the difference is.

The Detrola and Setchell Carlson do not use the same circuits, although I have not tried to figure how they are different.
