Precisely speaking no, but practically speaking yes.
For example, one of the connectors on the ZB is listed as a
Cxx-49072. However, the type 37 for the RU will work.
The difference I can see is that the -49062 has
a threaded cable clamp strain relief, the 37 has a fitting
to attach a shielded or armored cable. Also, the Army's
PL-63 will work in place of a 37 also.
The connectors that fit the adapter on the ARA receiver also
go by a number of different numbers, all differing in some aspect,
but all perfectly usable. That same pin layout and size is used
on the DU and LM, and front panel of the ARB among other places.
(They also have an Army PL-xx functional equivalent).
It all depends on whether you are looking for absolute historical
accuracy, cosmetically acceptable accuracy, or simply just want
to make the equipment work. In my case I strive for historical
accuracy, but will settle for less to make the equipment operational.
I've made up many a cable with the "wrong" connector, only to
go back and replace the connector with the "right" one when
I found one.
