Kinda related to radio in that I sent my 25 cents to a cereal company in  
the early 50s for a Sgt. Preston Radio Show  glow in the dark arrow head  
whistle which did glow like mad.  Me thinks it was not a radio active  isotope 
that gave off the green glow. But quite curious as to what it was.   Seems 
to me it was the same stuff they used on the older Lensatic Military  
Compasses which when excited with a flashlight would glow like crazy for a  while.  
Excuse my ignorance, but I just cant recall the scheme
