[ARC5] BC-322

I note that there is a BC-322 for sale on ebay.  I guess the BC-222 was similar in design.

This is cute set but I know nothing about it. I assume it was a super regen. Looks like it would not be too hard to build one from scratch. 

Does anyone know if it was used operationally and for what? (That is, other than in the clock tower in Kelly's Heroes when Clint Eastwood was trying to talk to it using a BC-611.)
