Very nice, Mark - a clean implementation, to be sure.  But I'm still a 
little fuzzy on how your matching mystery was solved.  Was it cured by 
providing a solid ground, or did magic just happen when you added the 
jacks and relay?

Or shouldn't I ask...heh, heh... :-)
