One of the U.S. RR companies was running a TV ad awhile back. They claimed they could ship one ton of freight 400 miles on a gallon of fuel. Pretty impressive....The economies of scale! I wonder if any RR's ever used ARC-5's for comms.....hmmmm Tim N6CC
