Yep... Snubber resistor is spec'ed as 1/2 watt.
When the vibrator was new and "clean," that would 
probably handle some small spikes.

However-  I've looked at 4 of these supplies now.
In every case, the snubber resistor had drifted high-
one as high as 60,000 Ohms, likely from heat.
Possible this is a design defect- good only until the
vibrator got a little "noisy."
