[ARC5] The 6U8 - what's the big deal with this "toob"

The 6U8 had severe reliability problems which was somewhat mitigated by the 
hastily rushed 6U8A and then followed by the 6EA8.
I worked on a lot of equipment using the 6U8/6U8A in the 50-60's and can 
confirm its failure rates and often cantankerous operation as a triode 
oscillator or as a stable pentode mixer. The 6EA8 was a welcome replacement.

The 6GH8 was another disaster thankfully replaced with the 6GH8A and 
subsequent improvements.
