No comment, yet. I've got two of those things (800-1 inverter). The Chief of the Fire Dept. lives next door. What's a guy to do?
As an aside: When I was a kid growing up (?) in N.J. ,I got a Dynajet pulse jet (~400 cyps) model airplane motor. I built the test stand. I fired the thing up. Scared me as I now had the power of the gods in my hands, The Police showed up...The entire Volunteer Fire Dept. showed up...
Several years later my younger brother got into model rockets and go-carts...
We both have all our fingers and no scars. Amazing...
Jay

he shipboard equivalent of the GP series of transmitters is the TCE series. It
s slightly larger and uses steel for the chassis & covers. The surprising
hing is that the TCE also requires 600 to 800 cycle power (in addition to 28
olts DC).
o figure.
y memory says that the preliminary GP-7 manual indicated that the 800 cycle
ower source was an 800-1 inverter. These inverters were reputed to be at least
s good sirens as they were inverters.
