For those who may actually find one of the airborne 400 Hz supplies, the 
power transformer in the HP 608-series signal generators will form/fit 
in that power supply.  The filter caps will have to be replaced and 
beefed up but mine worked out very well, indeed.  HP 608's can be found 
for almost nothing, now.  The hard part is getting it home!  I found my 
ARR-7 to be an OK receiver.  From a human-engineering standpoint, using 
an SX-28 is far more enjoyable unit to use.  That said, the ARR-7 (or 
miniature tube version ARR-7A) is just fine.
