There are some interesting differences between the R-112/113 and the 
later ARC receivers that Jeep mentioned below, but the front end appears 
to be the same.  The transmitters were unique, and carried nothing to 
the later VHF ARC transmitters, perhaps because they depended on 
including the MD-7/ARC-5 modulator, C-29 or C-31A/ARC-5, and a special 
antenna relay to form a system.  More at
