[ARC5] ARC-5 Question

Is it actually an "ARC-5" (i.e., R-23/ARC-5) or is really a BC-453-B? Some
(many?) late production BC-453-B's had the unused contacts not installed in
the connector in the front box (and the connectors for the RF and IF
coils). However, the hole where the contact would have been will still be there.
If that's the case, count the empty holes as pins.
PS - don't solder wires to the pins. If someone later wants to plug in a
control box (or on the rear of the receiver a dynamotor) it won't fit. And
the solder is next to impossible to remove, even with custom built vacuum
pump equipped desoldering equipment. Also, aside from building an ersatz local
control box (originals are as scarce as honest Chicago politicians), the
thing is plug and play.
