The part for the U.K. TR9D set found by Ray Robinson
in VK-land has come-out well. Ray found a TR9D
front panel with the scale and knob
I was missing in a large pile of gear tragicly left out
in the weather for a decade.
Here's what it looked like when Ray found it:

The scale is the round part with the right side clipped under
the knob. It's a brass piece with 360-degree markings,
used to indicate PA tuning settings.
I soaked all the screws over-night with penetrating oil.
All but one were recovered OK. There was extensive
crud between the brass plate and the aluminium panel
below it, but no pitting of the brass, thank Goodness.
There was also a heavy patina on the front.
Using soap, water and a Scotchbrite, I cleaned all
the loose dirt and crud from the plate. Then wet-sanded
with 60-grit paper until I had clean surfaces and the
index scale was clear. After drying, I gave it three coats
of thinned black enamel, carefully and lightly wet-sanding
with 200-grit sandpaper between each coat
to smooth them and bring-out the raised scale on the dial.
After the third light sanding, I cleaned it and gave it a
coat of clear gloss enamel. This is the result:

Again- I can't thank you enough, Ray.
Never expected to find these parts.
