[ARC5] [Milsurplus] Boonton

I think the splintering as noted in this  thread will not helped the 
overall radio hobby community in the long  term.  We who have been at this for 
over 50 years have seen both the ARC 5  and The Boonton 260A and if fact I 
still have and use both items.  That a  260A has nothing in common with Command 
Sets is not quite true and you would  have found the Boonton Q meter  being 
used ad Aircraft Radio Corp. to  develop their products.  
 
    We all have our favorites, but also have knowledge  of or expertise in 
more than one narrow sector of the radio communications  world.  So my own 
preference would be to keep much of the traffic in a more  homogeneous group 
which would broaden the base of interest and maintain a much  healthier 
collection of data, history, and of course opinion.   Unfortunately, many groups 
have "Topic" police who often get rather anal when  their myopia is 
challenged.  tsk tsk
