I am just a kid in that case!! I was five at the time and vaguely
remember Victory Gardens, blackout curtains and shaded headlights on the
car. I seem to remember those little 10 cent stamps we bought in school
for War Bonds too.

AMEN to that Mike. I was 9 at the time.
Remember the paper drives, scrap metal drives, the Ladies Aid rolling
bandages in the kitchen, of all things, saving kitchen grease (it was
worth 10 cents a lb, a lot of money then) Still have my ration books Mom
was issued , a gas sticker and other things.
My greatest treasure is a pair of Glider Pilot wings, given to me after
the war by a family friend, who landed one in France and survived.
The true hero's are fast disappearing and those of us that were too
young to fight but gave support any way we could will to soon follow.
When we are gone, how will it all be remembered?
Thanx
