Mike,
Are you on the milsurplus list? There has been discusion regarding frequency usage during battle ops in the Phillipeans,WWII. Some frequencies were noted to be in the range of TBS, TBY, and other gear. Well, this tidbit falls into that catagory.Any further enlightenment?
 Regards,
              Jay KE6PPF

It's an MN, as opposed to the later MN-1 through MN-5.
SHIPS 242A, January 1945, says that it is intended for shipboard use.
ade by Fred Link (CFL). 1942 Contract. Two watts. One channel
rystal-controlled. 15 kc FM deviation.
SHIPS 242A also says that MN-1 through MN-3 were for shipboard use,
hile MN-4 was for aircraft, and MN-5 was evidently for either.

The nomenclature plate is missing, and the dynamotor is not the appropriate
Y-2A/ARR-2. That looks more like the similar Magnavox model that was made
or USN aircraft RL-series interphone use, and could be a 12 vdc version.
