It's an MN, as opposed to the later MN-1 through MN-5.
SHIPS 242A, January 1945, says that it is intended for shipboard use.
Made by Fred Link (CFL). 1942 Contract. Two watts. One channel
crystal-controlled. 15 kc FM deviation.
SHIPS 242A also says that MN-1 through MN-3 were for shipboard use,
while MN-4 was for aircraft, and MN-5 was evidently for either.
>Same seller has a pretty nice looking R-28/ARC-5, or at least nicer than mine.
The nomenclature plate is missing, and the dynamotor is not the appropriate
DY-2A/ARR-2. That looks more like the similar Magnavox model that was made
for USN aircraft RL-series interphone use, and could be a 12 vdc version.
