Didn't I read somwhere (probably in CQ Mag) that CQ had
purchased the rights to "Ham Radio" and now has all of
the issues available on CD-ROM or DVD?

That would be Jim Fisk W1DTY. A great magazine & a great guy.
Unfortunately, when Jim died, the magazine soon died.
