Great find Bob!  You do have an eagle eye as I well know from cruising
swap meets in your wake and finding the interesting stuff already in
your hands!

I'm pretty sure one or two have turned up on eBay over the years.  The
only one I've ever seen 'in the flesh' was at a small amateur radio
museum at a technical college near Asheville, NC.  It was in a glass
case along with an prototype of a Hammarlund HQ-215.

I had aspirations to build one of these many years ago when it was
still possible to get the B&W phase shift network and the mil-surplus
interstage transformers.  Somewhere I have those parts and most of the
other bits including a BC-458 that was already pretty well gone.
Maybe it's time to find them and get busy.

Is the circuit basically the same as the one published in the Surplus
Radio Conversion Handbook III (blue cover)?
