No, cheap for the day. For the cost of basically one or two tanks of
gas, they were cheap to the average ham. Especially when compared to
the other offerings(Collins, Hammarlund, National, CE) of the same
timeframe. Even a cheezy S-38 cost several times that of a Command
set.
