Dave,

I wouldn't want to but I'd feel obliged to discuss the black sheep of a family  to my children and grandchildren (If I had any :-)  ). It's a part of their history.

We shouldn't subectively suppress historical facts we don't agree with.

Indeed.  The majority of the "ham improvements" I've seen,
I wouldn't want to show or admit, much less preserve.
Kinda like the crazy uncle with the KKK outfit
in his closet; do you really want to showcase him
