Now I recall that, Bob. CRS is setting in!
One of my classmates at USAF Officer Training School (OTS) in
1961 at Lackland AFB was from Bangor, Maine. Lefty (Robert)
Crane from Bangor, Maine!
He was the first NCO to go through the Airman Education and
Commissioning Program (AECP) and was one really sharp dude!
I imagine he probably went to retirement status within about
ten years after his (our) commissioning in May 1961.
Dow was not one of the choices available to me after I got
through with Navigator and Electronic Warfare Officer schools
in Feb of 1963.
