[ARC5] BC-221 or LM Freq meter

All -
I like the 221's and LM's they are fun to fix.
Ok I have a BC-221-AK that I have re-capped and re-resistored; The
Upper band matched the book after following the tune up instructions
were followed to the T. The lower band does not, scrunched in a bit.
Do not know why;? It could be due in part to the crack in the wax
covering in the low band coil which I resealed after a long dry-out.

I have both the program and Xcel; the program I found not to be as
accurate as Xcel data. I also made the effort to check, and mark, and
document all the check points for Xcel. Getting an equation for a line
the passes through all the crystal check points is difficult to say the
least; I have lost my math skills. Any how using an Xcell spread sheet
proved to be more accurate across the range of the low band than the
old fortan program.

That being said one of the LM's I have has all the entries in pen! Holy
cow.

I recommend the Xcel approach.
If not crack the old knuckles and fire up the Fortran compiler! The
program may be convertd to C by now?

I also have the Fortran source.
