[ARC5] Quality Control on ARC-5 Items

Yesterday, I picked up a NOS C-26/ARC-5 Control Box at a flea. It is by
all appearances NOS, including original tape over the connectors.

However, the thing rattled a bit, so I opened it up and there was a small
screw and lockwasher loose inside. Further the place where the screw came
from had no tooth marks from the lockwasher, so I suspect the screw was
never properly tightened. There was also no evidence of the red laquer on
the other screws holding the tuning corner gear assembly.

Has anyone else seen manufacturing defects in these sets?
