[ARC5] "Damaged" data plates.

I have been led to believe that contract data like dates and serial and contract numbers were "removed" so that the enemy could not gleen production info at the beginning of the war. Some of my RU and GF gear has been so altered.

This is an interesting discussion: I once inherited over 150 "ARC-5" 
eceivers. Amongst them were several in which the DATE of manufacture 
as deliberately and carefully excised from the data plate.
I was told that this was a "security" measure done during some part of WWII.
I think I have photos of at least one of those plates if anyone is interested in 
seeing what this looked like.
I can either put it up on the Glowbugs website or e-mail it directly to those 
ho ask about it....IFF I can find it.
