[ARC5] "Damaged" data plates.

This is an interesting discussion: I once inherited over 150 "ARC-5" 
receivers. Amongst them were several in which the DATE of manufacture 
was deliberately and carefully excised from the data plate.

I was told that this was a "security" measure done during some part of WWII.

I think I have photos of at least one of those plates if anyone is interested in 
seeing what this looked like.

who ask about it....IFF I can find it.
