Alas- I am time-constrained this week, and many of your questions will need

p.s. Love the idea of the doubled fil. supply for B+.
I'm an advocate of reducing B+ as a means of preserving
original equipment and still being able to enjoy using it.
I've had good success with it.  Also used the converter
as you have, but need a band-trap in front because we
have strong "Jesus radio" broadcasters on the image
frequencies ;-).
