I normally just delete posts about this whole topic because, well you
know what Clint Eastwood said about opinions (mine included!) And
because I hold what seems to be a contrarian minority viewpoint.

The radios and other stuff I've collected are a continuing source of
entertainment, enlightenment, and education for me. I consider them as
"hardware wallpaper" and fully intend to enjoy them until the end, and
after that I could care less what happens to them. (The old cowboys
wanted to die in the saddle, I thought going at a hamfest like one of
our old time hams did a few years ago would be just fine...preferably in
mid-haggle over yet anther addition to my collection!) Maybe someone
will get the buy of a lifetime when it's liquidated after I'm gone, ore
maybe the level of a local landfill will rise a few feet - I don't view
my hobbies as something that should generate a return on investment and
there are always options.

Maybe these threads serve a purpose for some, the good news is it's up
to each to decide. I wonder if other hobbies devote as much time to
worrying about it as we seem to?
