Same approach I've been taking, Mike, I toss a few small items on ebay
now and then, even sold a couple receivers there a few months back as
there were no fests coming up anytime soon. But it's much easier to
move it there, and to do it now, 'leisurely' as you say. It's not
overwhelming to send 3-4 rigs down the road now and then.

My contention has been that the few who are interested in this stuff
20, 30, 50 years down the road will have so much to choose from that
prices will be low on everything but the rarest sets (made in tens or
low hundreds). Your question is a good one, though. 'Who', indeed.

Anything I have was picked up to use and enjoy if possible. It's my
Vegas gambling or nights out on the town. I never expected to make any
money off it, and always figured if amateur radio was shut down
tomorrow along with terrestrial broadcasting, I'd have some
interesting industrial art to decorate the house with. None of it owes
me anything beyond what it yields between now than then. If you're in
it for the fun, there's no way to lose.

Then again, I have little that is museum-worthy or rare, so it's not
as likely to keep me up at night. (o:
