I think that the importance of electronics is appreciated.
IMO, most people appreciate a warship or an airplane, but very few can
related to a radio or a black box.

IMO, it's a tragedy that the importance of electronics in WW II and
elsewhere is largely ignored.
Without radio, RADAR, LORAN, IFF and a bunch of other things the much
vaunted pilots would have never known where they were going, where they
were, the way home, or who was about to shoot them down.
Yet, almost nobody even gives a damn.
