[ARC5] Kludge - an honest definition

Sorry about the delay in chiming in on this advanced topic of discussion...Seems we may be too internet-centric, and have forgotten actual books...From Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary (c)1979 - (which coincides with me attending college, mostly...) - KLUDGE, noun, [origin unknown], a system and esp. a computer system made up of components that are poorly matched or were originally intended for some other use.

I'm thinking M might find [origin unknown] just as acceptable :-)
