That should have been "C-189/ART-13", which is a control panel. Mike also
shows the C-188/ART-13 control BOX equivalent.

What you'll immediately notice from Mike's photos is that the six-channel
R-26/C-131 and the T-47 transmitter are wired so that channel six of
the receiver is selected anytime channels six through ten are selected on
the transmitter.

What a kludge!

IMHO, the WWII Navy never got its act together finding a proper receiver
that matched the capability of the AN/ART-13 before war's end. Even the
AN/ARR-15 that was later used with the AN/ART-13 to create the AN/ARC-25
did not cover the 200 to 1500 kc capability of that O-16/ART-13 in the
transmitter.

At least the USAAF's manual-tune AN/ARR-11 (BC-348-*) covered almost all
of the frequency range of their T-47A/ART-13 with O-17/ART-13A, including
beacon band. (I'm a great admirer of the AN/ARC-8, the finest aircraft
MF/HF set in the world in WWII.)
