The USN used the A.R.C. Type 12 UHF-AM communications gear (AN/ARC-60) in
T-34 trainers at NAS Corpus Christi in the early 1970s.

The USN also used the A.R.C. Type 21 ADF (AN/ARN-59) in a few places 
into the 1970s.  That's probably the neatest, most compact, vacuum tube
(with one transistor) ADF ever made.
