Well, yes, the TBS radio did.

Not much. However, it (whether the radio or the system) was mentioned 
prominently in the book, "The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors", which in my 
opinion is one of the most exciting true accounts of Naval warfare in the 
Pacific I have yet read.
