Relative to Pearl Harbor Day, a mention on one blog  of the battleships sunk at Pearl Harbor finally getting some revenge at Surigao Strait led to the discovery of a thrilling personal account of that action from the perspective of a destroyer officer:

I note that the TBS radio net is mentioned.  I have heard of this before, but was this simply a system for Talk Between Ships or an actual radio called the TBS?  I had heard they used rather odd freqs, such as 60-80 MHZ.  Anyone know anything about it?
