[ARC5] Preped for Yardney?

Hi Folks, Been watching this one .

Now gone to a good home I'm sure.Does this look like a unit preped for 
a Yardney tuner?I can not imagine a Ham mod removeing the dial 
assembly. There was a Yardney spot tuner assembly available recently 
and I wonder if receivers were contracted to accept the tuner and then 
some second party i.e. the Navy then installed the tuner.
 Any thoughts,comments?
