I think the question asks where all the dynamotors advertised on Ebay
end up going, since most of the command sets that are advertised
seem to lack them.

Historically, back in the mid-sixties, dynamotors were never as plentiful
as the command sets themselves. It seems that the service life of the
command sets expired when the dynamotors became impossible to
repair. In other words, the radios outlived their dynamotors.
