Thanks Hutch -

Don't need any right now, but it's good to see that VHT is still
available. $8.80/can these days, more than the $3.95 I paid 30 years
ago at the Harley store but really not a bad price for a specialty
paint. Adjusted for inflation, it's probably a better deal now.

Here's their recommendation for curing VHT:

"Curing
Bake at 200F (90C) for one hour, to accelerate drying process and for
tighter wrinkles."

Probably works well for other wrinkle finish paints as well.

FWIW, someone on another list recently queried Krylon for info on
baking their enamels for a harder finish. Their response was that they
didn't recommend baking for any of their paints now since they are all
'plastic' paints or such. Can't recall the exact wording, but I do
recall Rust-Oleum being the tougher of the two, Krylon scratching and
wearing easily in comparison. A few years back, a fellow on the R-390
list wrapped some knobs in Kleenex that he had painted the previous
day and put them in his pocket to take to work. When he got there,
there was bare metal showing in spots. He had used Krylon, and Kleenex
is apparently abrasive enough to damage it.
