Ken Corwin's (SK) informative BC-224/BC-348 pages at http://nj7p.org/history/bc-348.html implies that the BC-348-G existed by citing a USAAF reference that presumably referred to this model.

Ken did not cite that 2154-CHI-41 order number, so that would appear to be information that Ken did not have. That very low serial number would seem to be consistent with a small production run. That the maker was Colonial Radio is very interesting. I thought that the only makers of the BC-348 were RCA, Belmont, Stromberg-Carlson, and Wells-Gardner. I wonder if the G was similar to the E/M/P models. It would likely be impossible be to find details of the order number today.
BTW, this is not at all OT for this list. Thanks much for this info.
Now if only someone could dig up some info and photos about the mythical BC-349 transmitter companion to the BC-348 in the SCR-260 radio set!
