[ARC5] Slightly OT but interesting BC-348G???!!!

I've never come across anything specific on it, either.  But it may have 
existed, but maybe only a few were made before it was superceded by the H, J 
and/or M.  The Airborne Radio Equipment Handbook, 1943, lists it with a note "Not 
Interchangable".  Meaning not interchangable with any other model.  But it 
doesn't say why.  For reference, this list of BC-348 models says for example for 
the H, "Interchangable with K and L". And for the A, D, F and I, "Equipment 
does not exist".
