[ARC5] Slightly OT but interesting BC-348G???!!!

Whilst digging around in a vast box of junk and radio bits I have discovered 
a complete BC-348-G dynamotor, well until now I did not know they existed, 
but here it is in real life, DM-28G serial number 13, order number 
2154CHI-41, made by Colonial radio corp. This must have been an order that 
got junked or something, certainly no details anywhere on a G model, unless 
it was to power something else??? any ideas. 73 Max
