That '269 with it's servo loop-drive was such a giant advance! An
electromechanical ADF.

The the DZ or MN26 both had a 'unilateral' (single null) capability but
the user had to manually steer the loop.

A mighty curious thing is that the BC-433 for all the world seems a MN26
with the discriminator/2050-pushed servo pack tagged in behind.

Ya gotta luvvit &, to me @ least, it seems clear why the Navy installed
these babes with all the haste they could muster

Those pics are a WONDERFUL find Mike... and first install I'd seen of the 
VHF ARC-5 twins (T23 & R28?)
