What!,now I have to add a stereo phone jack to my test oscillator and
play it through the ZB/ ARB so my kids can broadcast their idea of
music over the AM broadcast spectrum ???(Actually,I'd be thrilled to do
so,if only they were interested!!!( This cannot and never will compete
with boyfriend).Oh Well.......

PS, Marty,After the ARR-2, what would have been the "next generation"
set to replace the ARR-2? Or was this receiver used until the end of
use of the YG? And why so secret? the Eastern Bloc knew just about all
we knew technology-wise.From all accounts, the system did work very
well.
KK5F's cooments are most interesting as to the ZB-* and ARR-1 useage
sans remote box and ant. relay box.Makes a lot of sense to simplify a
somewhat complex system for the operator to have a "hands free" homing
capability.

Relay Usage

There's a rumor that a YH transmitter was built for beach landings. An
ARR-1 sat on some big landing craft so they'd hit the beach in the right
place.

A ret Adm sez the YG-ZB system stayed secret 'til early sixties

  --AND--

You can modulate a HP-608C set @ ~200mhz w. a URM-25 @ ~1000kc that in
turn is modulated by ur portable MP3 player. Outa the ARR-1 comes
contemporary music via the good offices of 1938 sub-carrier tech.

Know one ret. Navy flyer who sed they'da never gotten back to
island SBD bases w/o a YG-ZB aboard... "the islands all looked
the same"
