Your right Dennis, typical motor rewind shops don't even know what a
dynamotor is much less how to rewind it. I actually have a good friend who
is retired from that business so I thought it would be a cinch getting it
rewound. He was even an aircraft buff and he still didn't want to touch it.
He did refer me to someone who might but he didn't do those type armatures.
He could refer me to two who did but at that point it was evident that the
cost was going to be 2 to 3 times what I can buy another PE-73 for.
Rewinding just isn't practical at this point. It just makes more sense to
take two basket cases and make one good one.
