[ARC5] type 15A?

The tuneable vhf receiver with a dial was the immediate post-war "omni" 
set that A.R.C. built for the CAA. Somewhere here I have the technical 
report. Since it was adapted from the late WW II AN/ARC-5 tuneable vhf 
units, R-113, R-112,  they still had dials, though very shortly the 
dials were eliminated in the production versions. The companion unit in 
the receiver module was the converter/modulator section to take the  
Omni audio and convert it to the Nav signal. This became the AN/ARN-30 
military set.

I do not think A.R.C. ever produced a radar set, though of course I 
could be wrong. The control box on E-Bay might have been made by Western 
Electric?
