I agree with what Mike and Dave had said and will only add: be
patient, resourceful, etc. I picked one up that is complete and in
good shape, but has the usual paint issues. Found a NOS shockmount for
it later. Pretty sure it's a Stromberg-Carlson (CCT) model, but can't
remember now. I wanted to go all CBY/A.R.C but figured I might die of
old age before that happens.
A few years back I landed some CBY racks and shockmounts from a guy in
Colorado, in a deal for some ART-13 gear. In surprisingly great shape
for having been stored under a tarp in his backyard for years (the
racks, not the ART-13s). Also a few pieces from Bill Babb's collection
in Australia, through the hard work of Brian Clarke. So you never know
where the stuff will turn up. Ya gotta dig for it, or hope and pray
that it shows up on ebay and no one bids more than you....
